About Me

I was a second-career teacher, newly retired. In my other life, I crunched numbers as an accountant. Probably would have made a great math teacher had the thought occurred to me. No matter, I'm where I'm supposed to be. I have 2 grown daughters, 2 sons-in-law, a baby granddaughter, 2 poodles, and 1 hubby. I live and worked on Long Island.

The Pandemic "fine"

"How ARE you?" I'm asked.

Fine.

Fine, how do I define thee?

Fine, in this present moment?

Fine, I'm not comfortable being authentic right now.

Fine, let's not waste these precious few minutes together complaining.

Fine, I don't want to burden you.

Fine, not fine.

Fine, I'm struggling.

"How are YOU?"

  1. In our house, fine has always been a four-letter word! And I think you captured quite a lot of the unspoken

  2. What a perfect slice to capture all the feelings behind that "fine" that we are all constantly saying and not really meaning!

  3. I’m fine too. So many more fines that I’ve ever experienced before.
