About Me

I was a second-career teacher, newly retired. In my other life, I crunched numbers as an accountant. Probably would have made a great math teacher had the thought occurred to me. No matter, I'm where I'm supposed to be. I have 2 grown daughters, 2 sons-in-law, a baby granddaughter, 2 poodles, and 1 hubby. I live and worked on Long Island.

    I love your ode to reading. We have some overlap, perhaps because we both teach third grade. I am thinking of doing a book list slice at some point, but I am afraid I will leave out something important.

    Love how much reading you squeeze into each day! I am always disappointed with my reading level at about this time of year...but spring break is just around corner! I'm a huge fan of reading and re-reading Ezra Jack Keats...love him!
